However, if this visit was documented incorrectly, or not at all, you may have trouble getting insured and not know why. If you had a record of the second visit that found the cyst, this situation would be easily disputed and your record would be accurate.

Human error is simply a part of life, even on medical documents. It is important to always keep your own records so that insurance companies get accurate information about you and your health condition. If you are being turned down for insurance and do not know why, you are best advised to be sure that you are not being misrepresented within your medical records. Cervical Vertigo – What a Pain in the Neck!

Recently I was attending a get together, a friend’s nine year old son came to me and said “I still don’t understand the difference between empathy and sympathy,”. I really liked his question and his learning capabilities.

But what amused me more is his devotion to understand the world. He is an average kid with average absorption rate.

As I tried to come up with situations where he could relate because he knew exactly what the person had gone though versus situations where he felt badly but had never personally suffered the same experience, he said, “Before this morning, I would have had sympathy for someone with neck pain but no empathy.”

I started with a neck pain story and finished with a story of cervical vertigo of another client. He also explained that before he slept in a bad position and now has neck pain. And this thing sparked a empathy story about neck pain.

She had been in a car accident two years previously and actually lost consciousness for several minutes. While recovering in the hospital she suffered excruciating pain in her neck as a result of severe whiplash.

She got diagosed for BPPV while recovering in hospital. This is not very much unexpected due the nature of her injury.

Medication took to eliminate pain reduced some symptome but created more symptoms. Some relief was achieved through physical therapy but it is not adequate. Even at this point knowing her condition nothing much could be done with her neck pain and dizziness.

Before following up on another friend’s advice to see a chiropractor, she did some research and learned that manual manipulation of the neck and spine could actually make the condition worse.

But even now when she turns her head suddenly at a specific angle she gets pain and dizziness. Things were much better now.
