I agree with that!! That’s why I’m here a so often. Lots of great information and discussion to get you lean and keep you there…comfortably. I believe Steve Turano and Clarence Bass are the best Q & A bodybuilding/fitness experts in the nation.

Really? When I first started jogging around 4 months ago, I could go 20 minutes and my muscles and back would be really tired but my heart wasn’t beating that fast, and I could catch my breath fully within 5 minutes. A month later after running every day I got up to 45 minutes of non stop jogging and felt the same as I use to feel after jogging for 20 minutes.. you might be faster IDK, but I ran an average of 3.5 miles in 45 minutes, which is 4.6 MPH. I was 20 pounds over weight when i started.

nobody has zero percent bodyfat, theres a healthy minimum of like 5% for males and like 21% for females, any less than that is unhealthy and it defeats the purpose lol.

Then you will consume muscle. Sicilian49 is correct as far as there is always some fat on your body. NEVERTHELESS, when bodybuilders near competition time, they are VERY vunerable…and almost always do, lose some lean muscle mass near competitiion time. The idea in the months before competition is to try to limit your fat loss to about 1/4 lb (4 oz.) per week.

That is impossible, if you have to eat to live, you will have fat store in your body. There is no such thing as “there is no fat on your body”

March 31, 2010 9:52 pm

what if you have no fat on your body and you keep burning more calories than you take in?

March 31, 2010 9:53 pm

well the treadmill tells me im burning 700 calories also i am 37 and weigh 200 lbs. im guessing most marathon runners are around 160 lbs? im no expert but i believe this does make a difference in calories burned.

You’re doing great but you’re probably not burning that many calories. Marathoners running 13 mph burn 650 calories an hour.

I live in Cleveland also, I run outside all year long. Just dress warmer!

April 1, 2010 1:14 am

@uzavas about 12 weeks, theoretically. you burn calories throughout the day, which adds to that, probably shortening that time, and if you eat well, that will help shorten the time as well.

i have a question: i live in cleveland, ohio right off the lake and in the winter time, its freakin cold. ive been using my stairs to get in my cardio as opposed to running outside in the snow. how effective would you say stair climes are as opposed to running?
